Maggiano’s Restaurant – Gluten Free Options

Last week I received an email from Maggiano’s Little Italy, and wanted to pass the information on to you.  Although they do not have a gluten-free menu, they do offer gluten-free pasta, and “in-house chefs carefully modify authentic Italian-American dishes to meet any guest’s diet specifications.”

Maggiano’s Little Italy specializes in Italian-American cuisine served in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Each restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner, offers a convenient carryout service as well as delivery, and also beautiful and accommodating banquet spaces for special occasions. Maggiano’s serves guests in more than 44 locations in 21 states and the District of Columbia.

I would love to hear from you if you give it a try, or if you’ve eaten there before.

There is one near where my ILs live. I will have to keep this in mind. I have only been there once before, don't remember if i was eating GF at the time.

This is good info, thank you!

We love Maggiano's. They are very accommodating and will work with your restrictions. The small pasta is more than plenty but my husband and in-laws like to order the large and have enough leftovers for 2 more meals.

I remember a few years ago when I heard they were going to start doing this. Glad to know they are in full swing, I'll have to get out there and try their GF pasta.

I really enjoyed the meal I ate there last time (which sadly has been a few years), grilled chicken and mashed potatoes...made special for my gluten freeness...they are very accommodating there!

Thanks again for sharing!

I LOVE Maggiano's! I've been to several and they are all very aware of gluten issues. Many times the chef will even come out and talk to you about the dishes. I think they can make just about anything on their menu gf. It's a nice place for when I'm traveling and don't want to have to think too much about where to eat!

We've eaten there a couple times and I ordered the GF pasta both times. The sauce and everything was great, but the pasta was over cooked both times (to my liking anyway). The first time they had the cook come out and talked about the options I had, they were super accomodating. I'm thinking next time I'm going to ask that they cook mine for a shorter time or get something else.

I ate there once. the chef came out and talked with me about my options and recommended the gluten free pasta alfredo. I got very sick. I don't know if I had gluten, or if the meal was just so rich that my stomach couldn't handle it, but I was sick immediately after eating.

My husband and I went to Maggiano's last night, and the chef made a delicious GF pasta dish and creme brule just for me. We loved it and will definitely be going back!!

I was so excited about finding a restaurant that offered gf alternatives. The first time I ordered the chicken pesto with gf pasta and loved it. I came down with the rash and couldnt figure out where I got it (I have dermatits herpetiforms when I eat gluten)....the 2nd time I went back I ordered it again and this waiter said its not gf....he went and talked to the chef and they said to stick with the alfredo sauce....it was delicious, and NO RASH!!!
just some food for thought!
