Betty Crocker Gluten-Free Brownie Mix

The other day the kids had some friends over to watch a movie. I thought it would be a good time to try the Betty Crocker gluten-free brownie mix because it would both keep me from eating too many brownies and give me feedback from some gluten eaters.

BC brownies The mix was easy to prepare, and for the sake of time, I put the brownies in a 11 x 7 in. dish. I was pleased with the way they turned out. They were nice and moist, held together well, and tasted good. The kids all liked them. However, my youngest son said he didn’t like them as well as my brownies. (That’s my boy!)

Have you tried the brownies yet? What did you think?

Hi Linda, I tried them. I baked them on a baking sheet to make them thinner. They were yummy, but the next day -not so good. :(

I had to throw away a lot of them. Bummer.

I made them a while back and they turned out great. They didn't last long as everybody was just chowing down on them :0)

I made them and they tasted great, however they didn't hold together well nor did they easily come out of the pan. I'll try cooking them in something different next time.

I tried the brownie mix, the taste was great, but they were too moist. Any suggestions to make them more cake like?

Bev, I would try adding a little rice flour, maybe 1/4 - 1/2 c. Let me know if you try it.

I prefer Pamela's. When I make the Betty Crocker ones, I add a package of mini marshmellows and a package of chocolate chips to them. This seems to keep them moist for a longer period of time.
